LXXII
Monday, Sept. 12.
Early this morning we visited the Diamond factory, where the diamonds are cut and polished. It was very interesting. At half past ten we left Amsterdam for Cologne, and after a long tho’ not very tedious ride, reached this City. Our baggage was examined at the boundary line, Eltin[sic], but the examination was a perfect farce. We are now very pleasantly situated at the Hotel du Nord.
