Saturday, Sept. 17.
This morning we drove about again, visiting first the Houses of Parliament, where the principal object of interest was Bismarck’s chair. We all sat in it for inspiration. Time alone can tell whether we were inspired. We also visited a huge German restaurant, under the town hall and all had a glass of beer. The rest of the day we drove and shopped, and left on the 5.20 train in the afternoon for Dresden, reaching here at 8.20 and are now staying at the Hotel Bellarus.
