LXXIII

Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Father went on an early train this morning to Crefeld, and we have spent the day wandering about the city.  We went through the Cathedral, a magnificent building.  It is almost as large as York Minster, and much more beautiful.  The exterior is one mass of frames(?) five thousand in all, each one containing an image.  We could not find an entrance to St. Ursula’s church.  The rest of the day we spent in shopping and bought a number of little things.
