Nature is everywhere, including the city. Holyoke is home to a wide variety of plants and animals, many which are considered rare. We will divide into groups of ten and take a one hour walk on the grounds of Wistariahurst looking for signs of wildlife such as animal homes, bird nests, or insect galls. We will keep an eye out for birds and squirrels and observe their behavior. Along the way we will look at local trees and wildflowers.
This nature walk will be hosted by Patti Steinman of Mass Audubon. The program is aimed at adult audiences.
Admission to this event is free, but donations are suggested. Registration is required.
This event will take place entirely outdoors. Social distancing and masks are encouraged.
