Lifelong Learning: Because Learning Should Never End

Begins 2/10 and continues 2/17, 2/24, 3/3

Each session 10 – 11:30 in the Conference Room of the Senior Center.

Join us at the Holyoke Senior Center as we discuss the fastest growing segment of the incarcerated population, women, which has increased at nearly double the rate of men since 1985. Classes will include screening the film “The If Project”, which follows a Seattle police officer and the writing workshop she created with a group of female inmates, a talk with Marisa Pizii from the Prison Birth Project, and more. The series concludes with a visit to the traveling exhibit, “States of Incarceration,” which arrives in Holyoke in March.

2/17 – Lecture by Marisa Pizii from the Prison Birth Project
2/24 – Writing postcards to prisoners
3/3 – Field trip to States of Incarceration exhibit
