Front Cover of Belle Skinner’s 1887 Travel Journal

The front cover is inscribed in blue ink, “Part of Bella’s journal on our first trip to Europe 1887 —
This was written by Katharine Skinner Kilborne, Belle’s younger sister. Belle fondly called her little sister “Queen” or “Queenie”.

Katharine handed down this journal to her daughter Elizabeth Kilborne Hudnut, who donated it to Wistariahurst.
