Nutcracker Information For Ticketholders

Nutcracker Information for Ticketholders

This year all eight performances are sold out! Thank you for your support of the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet and Wistariahurst!

This performance takes place in the historic museum areas of Wistariahurst. In order to stay within our capacity limits and to protect our collection, we have designed a specific flow for seating at this event. The following notes will help you get oriented and prepare you to have a magical experience once you are here:

   •   Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Parking is available at the Holyoke Senior Center (291 Pine St.) one block away from the Museum. Limited handicapped parking is available directly in front of Wistariahurst. Continuous drop-off in front of the facility will be available as well.

•   Please alert us ahead of time if you have particular accessibility needs. Ramps are available at entrances to both buildings.

•   Your reserved tickets will be waiting for you in the Carriage House (signs will guide you to this destination). Carriage House doors will open 30 minutes before showtime. We ask all guests to wait in this area until ushered seating for the performance has begun. Seating will begin 15 minutes before showtime.

•   Seating will take place in ushered groups, based on the seating number you will be assigned on  first-come, first-serve basis upon arrival.

•  In order to be seated with your group, all members of your party must be present when you check in. Due to the small size of the room, we can not guarantee that large parties will be seated directly next to each other, but we will do our best to accommodate group needs.

•  Standing Room ticket holders will be let into the Music Room last and may stand anywhere within the designated areas.

•   Guests are encouraged to use the bathroom facilities in the Carriage House before the performance. There is only one restroom in the Main House and it will be available only during intermission.

•   In the case of wet weather, we ask that guests check their coats at the door to protect the historic spaces. Strollers must be left at the coat check. Please be aware that we do not allow food or drink inside the Main House.

•   Guests who arrive once the production has begun will be seated during intermission.

•   In consideration of the performers, we ask that you refrain from video and photography during the production.

If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We look forward to seeing you this weekend and anticipate that this will be our best production yet!

Sincerely,

The Wistariahurst Team
