Women’s History Month Exhibits

Wistariahurst Museum has hosted our annual exhibition during Women’s History Month in March for the past four years since 2023. This annual exhibition highlights the artwork of women and nonbinary artists in the area. The increasing interest in this art exhibition has been both inspiring and motivating, as we have seen an increase in participating artists year after year. Each year, this juried exhibit has had a theme. Our most recent theme for 2026 was “Liberty and Labor,” where, for the first time, some historic objects from our archive that related to the theme were displayed alongside the artwork. The theme for 2025 was “Love, in all forms”. The theme for 2024 was “The Body/ The Self”, and 2023’s theme was “Nature/ Nurture”. Some images of artwork and exhibit openings are below:
