Frog Bank Unveiling Event at Wistariahurst Museum

Hop over to Wistariahurst to celebrate the unveiling of a historic display. Burlingham Schurr, the naturalist who created Wistariahurst’s famous Frog Circus, also created another intricate taxidermy display: the Frog Bank. The Frog Bank has been housed in Wistariahurst’s archive for many years, but this December it moves to a display case in the museum’s Great Hall! The Frog Bank unveiling event celebrates this new addition to the museum with frog themed activities and treats. Mayor Joshua Garcia will also be there to unveil the display!

This event is perfect for children and families, and those who enjoy a little whimsy. Don’t miss this froggy morning of fun on December 11th at 10:30am. This event is free and open to the public.

Wistariahurst extends a special thank you to Mark and Pamela Rustico for constructing the Frog Bank’s display case, our volunteers for adding legs to the case and staining it, and to Fred Zinn for creating two whimsical frog art pieces for the Frog Bank and Frog Circus.
